Ann Ritter is a yoga teacher and therapist, Ms. Ritter teaches at Callanwolde Fine Arts Center and Emory University, and practices privately in Decatur. She is a certified as an instructor of Kundalini Yoga at the 200-hour level and is pursuing certification at the 500-hour level in both Kundalini Yoga and Integrative Yoga Therapy. Ms. Ritter’s background also includes study in traditional Hatha, Kripalu, Integral and Kali yogas. Her additional certifications include polarity therapy at the associate practitioner level, and Thai yoga massage and bodywork from the Lotus Palm School in Montreal, Canada. She has been teaching yoga for more than 12 years. Also an avid fan of dance and movement, Ms. Ritter has pursued the integration of narration and movement in performance through Fieldwork, a national program co-sponsored locally by Several Dancers Core and Emory University’s dance department, for the past two years. She is on the board of Beacon Dance Company, Decatur, and has performed for three seasons with Beacon’s Mapping Project. She also sits on the board of the Friends of Theatre Emory.
