Jeff Milsteen has been a practicing photographer for over 25 years. A past president of the Southeastern Photographic Society and Photographer of the Year of that organization for the last four years, Jeff’s work has been featured in local and national publications, as well as a variety of exhibitions in the Southeast. Jeff has been a frequent presenter and juror for photography groups in the greater metro area and enjoys sharing his insights with other photographers.
Of the works in this exhibition, Milsteen writes, “I am particularly drawn to abandoned spaces, rich with the remnants of common history and the quiet dignity of decay. These places simultaneously evoke the aspirations of earlier times and the sadness and surrender of loss. Photographing them lends a sense of preservation and permanence to an otherwise fleeting existence and often offers rare glimpses into places seldom seen by casual observers.”
