With the help of community volunteer Joanna Stroud, Callanwolde is being transformed for its third annual Halloween Night on Callanwolde Mountain event. Upon entrance, guests will be given a map of the fully decorated estate with directions to trick-or-treating spots, games with candy prizes, and art activities.
In Callanwolde’s magnificent Tudor-Revival Candler Mansion, catch live performances by the Callanwolde Concert Band, The Callanwolde Choir, and Atlanta Braves organist Matthew Kaminski, a LEGOLand Discovery Center building station, movie screenings by Atlanta Film Society, and surprise performances by the Callanwolde School of Dance’s performance group, Prime Movers.
The night will be capped off with an all-ages dance party and costume contest (with big prizes!) led by J&M Sound Design DJ.
The Original Hot Dog Factory food truck and Atomic Ice Cream will be on hand for hungry families. Bottled water, Coca-Cola products, beer, and wine will be available for purchase at the Callan Cafe Bar.
Tickets are $5 in advance, $10 at the door, for kids and adults. All guests over the age of 3 are required to have a ticket. We strongly advise purchasing in advance, as this event may sell out early. Tickets are limited by Callanwolde’s capacity.
Limited free parking located across the street from the venue at Atlanta Metro Cathedral, 999 Briarcliff Road NE. Overflow parking with trolley service available for $5 at Emory Briarcliff (1256 Briarcliff Road).

The Callanwolde Concert Band is an independent community concert band of adult musicians who decided not to give up music after graduating from school. Formed in 1972 as a summer program of the Callanwolde Fine Arts Center, the band has operated as an independent non-profit corporation since 1984. The alliance with the Callanwolde Fine Arts Center continues in the form of formal concerts at the center and mutual support for a strong performing arts presence in the community.
Born in Chicago, IL, Matthew Kaminski has been playing the Hammond Organ since he was five years old. Matthew has a passion for jazz organ playing and has studied with Hammond B3 masters Ike Stubblefield, Tony Monaco, and Scott Giddens, as well a sharing the stage with fellow organists Pat Bianchi, Linda Dachtyl, Wil Blades, Todd Hildreth and guitarist Grant Green Jr. In April of 2009, Matthew accepted the position of organist for the Atlanta Braves. He can be heard at every home game at Turner Field, the home of the Atlanta Braves.
