Thank you for visiting the online home of the Rick Baker School of Music and Music Recording at Callanwolde!
We offer one of the most respected music programs in Atlanta. Our beautiful 12 acre campus is located in the Druid Hills neighborhood of Atlanta.
Callanwolde was built in 1920 by Charles Howard Candler, eldest son of The Coca-Cola Company founder Asa Griggs Candler. The estate is located in the Druid Hills neighborhood of Atlanta and is on the National Register of Historic Places. The 12 acre estate contains a magnificent Tudor Revival style mansion, lush gardens, and several outer buildings. Our restored Barn, which contains a state of the art music studio, was the recipient of an Excellence In Rehabilitation Award by the Georgia Trust.
As part of Callanwolde’s mission to provide classes and outreach to the Atlanta community, our classes are affordable and welcoming.
We offer private music lessons for children and adults of any age, and in any instrument!
Callanwolde offers the Associated Board of Royal School of Music (ABRSM) Exam and Learning Program. This program is internationally recognized and aids intermediate to advanced students in learning and goals. The exam program has helped many students with college and university acceptance, regardless of major.
The Rick Baker School of Music and Music Recording offers the unique opportunity to perform at Callanwolde’s many exciting events, as well as opportunities off-campus such as at festivals, and events at our many partner organizations.
