Jessi is a dancer, choreographer, teacher of dance and Director of the Callanwolde School of Dance. An Atlanta native, Jessi graduated from Dekalb School of the Arts and was a member of the Gary Harrison Dance Company. Her studies continued in New York City while attending New York University’s prestigious Tisch School of the Arts where she had the pleasure of working with Doug Elkins, Kevin Wynn, Doug Varone. After graduation, she had the opportunity to collaborate and perform with many talents including Eun Me Ahn, Sharon Estacio, Katherine Helen Fisher and Julian Barnett. Her performances have taken place all over NYC from Central Park’s Summerstage festival to Harlem’s Aaron Davis Hall and Williamsburg’s Arts neXus in Brooklyn. She toured nationally and internationally with Nick Arrojo (What Not to Wear) as a choreographer and performer in Arrojo Studio’s hair shows. Since returning to Atlanta, she has taught dance classes at Callanwolde School of Dance, Decatur School of Ballet, Dance 101 among other studios. Jessi has performed with local Atlanta arts organizations such as Dashboard Co-op and Wonderroot and enjoyed many performance opportunities at Callanwolde Fine Arts Center.
