Han Myers
Han Myers was born and raised in Pullman, WA. She began dancing at age 6 and received formal training and mentorship throughout her youth from Crystal Fullmer, Noreen Graham, the Joffrey Ballet, Martha Graham School of Dance, and Mark Morris Dance Group. After high school, she continued her dance education at the Hartt School of Dance under the direction of Stephen Pier. During her time as an undergraduate, she worked with highly esteemed dancers, choreographers and guest faculty. After receiving her BFA in Ballet Pedagogy and Performance, Han continued to perform, choreograph, and teach as a freelance artist around the United States and Europe for 7 years. Throughout these years she performed with the Atlanta Opera, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and the Martha Graham School of Dance. Her choreographic works have debuted at the Atlanta Fringe Festival, Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the Hartford Dance Collective, DanceATL: AM Collaborative, and at many venues across Washington State, Idaho, New York and Connecticut. In 2024, Myers received her MA in Screendance from ‘The Place’ at London Contemporary Dance School, under the direction of Dr. Katrina McPherson. In addition to performing, teaching, filming, curating, and choreographing, Myers is also interested in collaborative research. Han is looking forward to her second year with Callanwolde School of Dance as both an instructor and mentor.
