Kate Hinkel grew up in Atlanta, where she studied ballet and modern dance at Callanwolde Fine Arts Center and the Atlanta Ballet. She received a BFA in Dance from the Florida State University and received the A.J. Fletcher Foundation scholarship to the American Dance Festival in Durham, NC. Kate previously performed with CORE Performance Company, Room to Move Dance, Duende Dance Company, Coriolis Dance and Gathering Wild Dance Company. Kate began teaching and choreographing at Callanwolde in 2001.
