“I have been taking both Martha’s and Lora’s Virtual Class and I have been so grateful and delighted that you have offered these opportunities. Both teachers have been so very inspiring, I have learned new skills, ways of glazing, shapes, textures and more, it made it possible for me to stay in touch with my fellow friends and potters and is a highlight in an otherwise not so cheerful time. I really appreciate all the many extra steps necessary to make this work, and I can say gladly, that it worked extremely well. What resourceful instructors! How flexible everyone is! Amazing. And well worth the personal challenges- clay, porcelain all over my house and garden- I don’t have a studio room- and an internet provider that freezes the Zoom program from time to time. And yet- a wonderful experience! Thank you!”

While working at the Callanwolde clay studio is ideal, the virtual pottery classes that Callanwolde has offered are wonderful! The clarity of the video is good, the content is clear and informative, the interaction is lovely, and the teachers provide strong demonstrations that open up a range of possibilities for a particular form. Callanwolde has made it easy to drop off, pick up and glaze work. I like that I can sculpt outdoors and at times that are convenient. I highly recommend taking a virtual class—they are very instructional and enjoyable!
